“Dragonfly Dance”
While coasting along the Wekiva River in our canoe, we had fluttering dragonflies flitting about from our canoe to the floating gardens along side us. It was a delight to watch them hoover, swirl and dash. So upon our return, I started playing with shapes and colors to depict my experience in nature. The sun shinning, the water sparkling, the citrus-y colors of summer and of course the main attraction, the dancing dragonflies were composed with a playful motif.
The original painting was created using pastels on a suede mat board.
